In accordance with the charter of the Carlsberg Laboratory: The Carlsberg Laboratory forms an independent unit of the Research Centre run by Carlsberg Limited.
The Laboratory is the under supervision of the Board of Trustees consisting at the moment of five members.
Three members are appointed among the members of the Board of Directors of the Carlsberg Foundation being skilled in the Natural Sciences and are Prof. Flemming Besenbacher, Prof. Lars Stemmerik and Prof. Søren-Peter Olesen.
Additionally, two members are elected by the Royal Academy of Sciences and Letters after recommendation by the Board of Directors of Carlsberg Limited. These two members are Deputy CEO and CFO Jørn P. Jensen and Senior Vice President Khalil Younes.
The activities are furthermore guided by recommendation to the Board of Trustees by the Research Board of Carlsberg Group.
The Carlsberg Laboratory consists of four research groups, each of which is headed by one of the Professors of Carlsberg Laboratory working within the focus areas of Carlsberg Research.
The Laboratory is under the daily management of Professor Ole Hindsgaul with reference to Jean-Yves Malpote Vice President of Carlsberg Research and Development and ultimately to the Board of Trustees.
